A little intimated by all the parts of the HAC!? Don’t be. I promise, if you can finger paint, you can do this makeup. Follow this chart and apply the makeup with your fingers (or, better yet, with one of our amazing double ended brushes) and give it a blend. If in doubt, blend it out.. and try again! Last Mother’s Day, my young sons applied my makeup live in my Facebook group. They’d never touched the product before and they managed a decent enough application! Took a little extra blending but we got there!! If they can do it, annnnyone can! No need for layering.. just put what you need, where you need it. And the best part for crazy busy ladies like me?.. This makeup only takes 5 minutes!!
Here is the breakdown of the parts of the HAC (highlight and contour)…
MAIN HIGHLIGHT
This is the equivalent to your foundation shade and closest matched to your own skin tone. This main shade will be the most predominantly used colour on your face and placed everywhere you don’t have contour and brightening highlight.
BRIGHTENING HIGHLIGHT
This colour should be a few shades lighter than your natural skin tone. You will apply this shade to the bridge of the nose, beneath your eyes and down the side of the nose in a pie piece shape, between your brows, and on the center of the chin. This bright colour will reflect the light and draw attention to the center of your face.
CONTOUR
This colour should be much deeper than your natural skin tone. It creates and accentuates the “shadows” on your face, giving dimension and sculpting your face. Apply the contour round the perimeter of your face, down the neck, the side of your nose and hugging up to your cheekbones. This can also be used to enhance the pout of your lips!
LIP + CHEEK
This versatile product can be used both as a lipstick and as a blush. On the cheeks, it brings out your eyes, makes the face appear more youthful and warms up ones complexion. Apply as a blush to the apples of your cheeks and as a lipstick to the center of your lips. While these can be used interchangeably for the lips and the cheeks, I personally recommend a satin(matte) finish for the cheeks and love to layer a gloss over a satin on the lips!!
ILLUMINATOR
This here is the icing on the cake. The illuminator provides the perfect shimmer to give your face a candlelit glow. Apply with to the top of your cheekbones (but below any crows feet), down the center of the nose, to the cupid’s bow of your lip and beneath the arch of your brow. Seint offers both cream and powder illuminators. The creams are subtle and the powders pack more of a punch and double as gorgeous eyeshadows! We also offer a scented cream based solid perfume illuminator which looks and smells beautiful on the décolleté.
